Hello,
Any idea if there are differences between the Fujimi and Revell kits? I have the Revell kit and thinking of buying the Fujimi. Is it worth doing or will I end with the same kit in a different box?
Bye

I think FUJIMI kit is better than REVELL

the Fujimi kit seems to be a little nicer in this case then the Revell kit, The body on the Revell kit seems to be too rounded to me and wheels are kinda funky.
with that said i'm buying the Revell Kit, reason why. I can get the Revell kit for $10.50 when it comes out in a Revell USA box this summer, and the Fujimi kit costs 3 times that price

Both kits have their positives and negatives.
The Revell kit is full detail, w/full engine. It has small wheels and some body details are slightly off. It will be available pretty cheap in the US later when boxed for US consumption. Look around here for a buildup of the Revell kit by Skylinefan. He did a superb job on the Revell kit.
The Fujimi kit has a great body and interior, and passably good upper engine detail (you can't see down in there too well anyway). The engine cover doesn't open. The wheels are a bit small. It's expensive. I have the "Optional Parts Version" with the nicer sport seats and the BBS rims, but they're a scale inch too small in diameter :banghead:
Bottom line is the Revell kit is a better value and builds out well if you know what tricks to do to fix a few of the minor issues. The Fujimi will look great and crisp but both kits need bigger rims. If you can snag a cheap Maisto F430 builder kit the wheels in that model are better than both Fujimi and Revell...nice diameter, the back wheels are of the proper WIDE aspect, and the tire tread is very modern and aggressive.

Hey Zoom: could you post picts of option parts? I saw only pict a MMH I guess , or HLJ. Rims are the right kind? (Yes I heard smaller but the 1 nut kind?) thanks. Well I received mine (fujimi) from a friend lately and I'm surprised by the fuji quality talking about the body shell: a bit less to me, I haven't study well, I havent't noticed nothing in the wheels.

They're not Challenge rims, they have 5 lugs.
Willimo is building one of these. He'll probably have interior pics w/the seats soon.

I have both and to me, Fujimi's f430 looks more detailed. If we compare the dashboards, for example, fujimi's one is much better.
I would go for fujimi kit, and if you can get cheap the one from revell, you could improve the engine by mixing parts of both kits.

Thank you very much gentlemen (by the way, why aren't there ladies around). Your answers went beyond my original question. But thanks for the extended discussion.
I am a bit surprised by Gasmans03's reply. The body of Revell 360 Modena, which is the basis for their F430 kit, seemed slender with square corners compared to Tamiya 360 Modea (which I do not dare to take it out of the box). The Tamiya kit looks more curvy, wider and has better proportions than that by Revell. If you say the Revell model is round compared to Fujimi then the later must be a rectangular box then :p .
Low profile tires on big alloy wheels do not interest me. The important thing is they are to scale and look right. On the contrary, I hate low riders, heavily tuned and customized (I know this will spark WW III here ). I admire, appreciate (and envy of course :p) the talents and skills behind these shopped lowered creations, but as I said they are not my taste. However, each of us should practice his hobby the way he likes. So keep on building low riders if you love them.
Once again thanks
