These guys are hard, heavy and downright fucking rock.
I have not just discovered this as I did that Sevendust rock, I saw Chimaira live in July of 2004 after only liking a few songs. I got the "Imposibilty Of Reason" last xmas (just the CD) off a mate, catch is it was JUST the cd, no case etc and it was scratched up a bit so i was missin out on a few songs.
So we went to a haunted tunnel south-west of me by 40 minutes (car duh) and on the way back he puts the CD on which I have had in my car for over a year, just never listened to it, and I start diggin some song I've never heard again, so randomly on my way back down to uni 2 days later I put this shit back on it my car and fuck me dead its some good shit.
I ripped it to the comp and it cleaned abit of the scratching (6 songs were fucked) and Its actually a really good album, and I'm really loving this shit.
Thank you.

Good ole' Cleveland boys too! I saw them this summer at Sounds of the Underground in Cleveland. Craziest fucking pit ever...entire crowd loved 'em. I'd recommend picking up their newer self titled album too...it's better than Impossibility of Reason.
But overall, you sir are correct. Chimaira=t3h myet@lz

FUCK YEAH!!! They fuckin kick ass. It's a shame Kevin Talley left the band though. IMO he helped bring a more brutal side to songs that just wont have it with Anders

They have changed quite a bit, but for my tastes thats good. But like you said, if you liked "The Imposibility of Reason" the new stuff my just not be what you expected.
