XK120 with an aluminum body sells for over $230,000

This 1949 XK120 (from classicdriver.com) "is one of only a handful of cars built to the rare, almost hand-made, specification of ash frame, all-aluminium bodywork, steel disc wheels and spats over the rear wheelarches." It sold for $236,155 (or €198,250) at Christies successful Retromobile sale on February 11th.
