I actually like how you have you dash silver. But, that stock steering wheel is buggin me. lol Are you gonna swap it out for an aftermarket one? The fiberglassing looks pretty good too, I'm just not big into the monitors and stuff though.

I like that sub box. What are you running for a system. Looks like a pair of audiobahn flame Q series 12"?

I am running two ALUM12Q (Now called ALUM12N, New series, same specs.) both peak at 2000 watts

I have a class D MONO Block amp powering it, an A12001DT.

as for speakers I have two AS69Q, two AS62Q, powered by A6004T amp.

The power is being distributed with an ACAP7P Capactior.

The system is pretty good,

I sell audiobahn and i love it.

You took the passenger airbag out so you don't care about your passengers? J/P It looks good who did the work?

i hope you disabled that airbag.....the system kicks ass. I'm thinking of doing something similar, I never use the back seats anyway, and it would be nice to actually have a trunk

what exactly did you have in mind?

Blackcrow64

I stripped out my rear trim and have a 12" alpine type-r in a fiberglass enclosure against the back of the rear seats but facing towards the hatch. I still have all of my hatch space and I'm making my own fiberglass trim. It will look a lot better than trying to fit the stock trim back in there with it.

**EDIT**
Oh yeah, I also have an alpine v12 monochannel amp that puts out like 900 watts or something like that. I forget how much exactly, but I remember that it was plenty for my system. lol

I'm not into the whole fiberglassing and everything, but suprisingly to me that actually looks ok. The silver paint looks pretty good. I just dont care too much for the passenger screen. The rear audio looks pretty good also.

BTW: Is your shift knob on backwards or something? I guess the indash hit it when it was on straight? I also have an indash but mine is mounted on the top half of the opening, if you understand what I am saying.

Yah it is, see I had a b&m short shifter in there and it was working amazing, it reduced shifting up to 50%, the throw was so much shorter, thus there was less inbetween shift time, and my shifer wouldnt hit my monitor at all... However I got into an accident and the pin broke on me...

I had to go back to stock for a little bit... Hopefully I get that pin part soon, I ordered it from b&m, today.

I agree with ditching the headlights. I already have a brand new set of chrome projectors (97-99)but there is one draw back... the kit is molded to the factory 96 front bumper and to swap without that ugly space left behind by the cutout for the longer lights is to replace the entire bumper with a 97-99 bumper. However if i put a kit on my 98 spyder i will use that bumper to make the improvement .

the top retracts between the passenger seating area and the trunk, so the top doesnt come in any contact with my sub area at all...

I like the sub enclsure alot its actually what i wanted to do, I dont like how the monitor sticks out so far from the dash though. it would be better if it was mounted so it was recessed into the dash.

About the steering wheel i have a black one with the airbag intact out in my garage if that interests you at all.

yellowspyder

putting on the new wheel wasn't to bad the hardest part is getting the old one off. You need a wheel puller, or you can do it by hand, but you might need a friend to help pull, if you pull hard then pop the center bolt with a mallet it'll pop off you just got to make sure you dont smack yourself in the face with the wheel. its funny to watch some one do though lol. I'll got a pic of it, i have a pic of it still in the car but i'll take one of it by itself too.

How are you going to turbo your gs?

yellowspyder

as far as the turbo goes i am planning to do the often talked about but rarely done 2.4 build up.

I currently do not have a horn the steering wheel i got has a connection for it but the wires in the car wouldnt hook up without modification and it wasn't worth it seeing as how i have only honked the horn once since i got the car so yeah no horn.

as far a my sub enclousure i finally took some pics today and also of my black wheel so you can check that out too.

NICE FITTING!! thats a perfect fit, looks clean and nice, good job man!

you should work on that horn, if someone doesnt see you, you have no way of alerting them.

yellowspyder
03-04-2006, 09:03 PM
you should see the box thats under that man it has so many sides and angles, originally it sat too high so we had to keep chopping it and cut the bottom to fit the hump in the middle of the backseat. it fits in there good now. I was thinking about cutting a long narrow rectangle out of the top and mounting a neon tube inside then covering the opening with plexi glass so that the light can shine through. what do ya think?

I think thats some sweet fiberglass work. Maybe you should just take out the airbag and make a fiberglass enclosure so the tv is recessed. Overall looking good though.
