I couldn't find an answer in the Haynes manual for something like this. :shakehead ..maybe someone here can help me out.
My 1990 2.2 L OHV cavalier makes a noise that can best be described as a shriek when the A/C (heating) is turned up. The noise only happens when the car is actually moving forward with the A/C on and i'm accelerating. This noise also tends to stop once i hit a higher speed...like above 30-40 Km/h...but the shrieking until i hit that level is REALLY loud. I've also figured out its coming from immidiately behind the front-right tire. I'm not even sure what component is located there. This used to happen at very low temperatures only but now its only -5 outside and its happening. The A/C also doesn't smell all that great i might add.
Anyone know what this might be?
