My New GSR

Hey guys, I finaly decided what to get. As you can see it is a GSR! Man do I love this car!!!! My kill list so far is a 2001 Celica GT beat him by alot. Well heres some pics of my new car:sun:

gsr's are awesome i loved mine..
yeah you can take a gt.. but the gts will take you by just a bit..
if they can drive.. you can also take base 3000gt's...
it's fun ..

Very cool, my friend has a '99 GSR... its pretty quick, and when vtec comes on it sounds plain mean... I kinda wish I had one :)

VTEC is a engine control system not something that kicks in at any certain point. It may change to a variable cam profile at a given rpm, but it is managing the engine at all times. It just strikes me funny how some people refer to it as if it was a 100 shot of nos kicking in.

Well, it kind of is..lol. Yes I know all about Vtec and how it works, but it does kick in. The reason being that the bigger rocker takes control, and that happens at 4,800. If i was to race a car and shift at 4,800 I wouldn't be using the big rocker, it would just be be using the to small rockers. So in a way you can say Vtec kicked in because it switched rockers.:D

Actually, VTEC kicks in at 4,400 in GSR. It's unnoticeable on stock cars, but if you have an intake then you can hear the engine switching to a different cam profile. It begins to sound less stressed and more refined. I kinda doubt that other people would pay attention to it, it’s still pretty subtle. However, at 5,700 the secondary intake cameras open and that’s where the things get interesting. The engine revs like mad and the car flies. Many people confuse it with VTEC engaging. I know I did at first :p .

i beat celica gt-s's all day by about 4 or 5 car lengths in my car..a gt is nothing to brag about.. :D

bloody mario is more or less correct... i think ...
i'm not sure about vtec on the gsr being so low..
but i had an intake on mine and i did hear something that you talk about ..
although for all i know it's just in my head..

Trust me, the sound is noticeable if you have your (Screwed Secondary) Guys that have there secondarys override know what Im talking about. :D And if you can't see in the pic, i do have a intake.:)
