i justgot my prelude today and the advans they sent me sucked the gold was all peeling out n sh!t so i painted them gunmetal and i will add a silver ring around it to complete the look.
the kit is molded in yellow and i have a can of tamiya chrome yellow is it ok to spray it without primer or should i (white) primer it.
its a rare occurence this is my first attempt at a box stock kit

paint does not stick well to bare plastic, so i think you're better off laying down a few coats of primer.

the advans from my C-west rx7 kit seemed okay but the flakes from the gold paint they used seemed a bit too big. I'll probably strip it and paint it with a gold metalizer. All I'm wondering about is how are you suppose to paint that blue strip inside the rim?

it's really crappy on that car. it looks too high, that's why i'm changing the rims of mine to a set of smaller ones. it doesn't look right with those advans, one solution is to lower the car's suspension by then it might look okay:confused: maybe, but for me i rather change it. :D
