Easy Question for 97 chevy lumina 3.1

97 Lumina 3.1... want to change the timing chain since its got 243k on her... Im pretty mechanically inclined so.... how long am I looking at(time wise in Hrs???) I have no airtools but everything else.... and while Im in there anything else besides chain/gears and tensioner should I do??? Thnx In advance to all who answer:)

You probably will need an impact gun for the crank bolt, but maybe not, it is not as big as the 3.8. Book time is about 4-4.5 hours for an experienced tech. I'd figure a full days work.

Don't forget plenty of your favorite beverage, as you'll be bent over all day and need some liquid patience.

Thnx Guys I broke that crank bolt loose when I did the harmonic balancer over last summer... not too bad... I figure a day or so also...but thnx for the advice... take care all...
