The ABS light should go off after a couple of engine starts (key off, start, key off ....), atleast it does on my 95, well that is if you don't still have a problem. Only when i've been extremely beating my car has the ABS light came on (e-brake burnouts, ect ...), so I don't think thats your problem.
More then likely you have a bad ABS sensor somewhere, on the newer cars they can use a scan tool to find out with one is bad, but im not sure if thats possible for a 94, and Autozone doesn't have the right scan tool to do the pre 97 scans, probably have to be a dealership (one of my buddies that works at a dealership brought home the right scantool, so the dealership should still have them) before they do anything to your car find out if their scan tool can tell you which sensor is bad, if they say no then don't waste your money.
As for the cruise control i'd start with checking your fuses, that would be your easiest fix. After that you will have to alot of trouble shooting or try replacing the cruise control unit (maybe you can get one from a junkyard).
good luck and post your results to help others with simular problem, if you have any specific questions I have a Haynes manual and will reply back when I find the info.

I can't help you with the ABS but maybe, just maybe the issue I had with the cruise control on my 94 GA will help. I found a vacuum hose which runs under the battery was eaten away. The cruise control is controlled by this vacuum so it was dead. I cut the hose (hard plastic) and all was well again. It was pretty difficult to find. The way I found it was I heard a suction sound when I was checking things out under the hood by the battery. Good luck with your issue

If cycling the ignition switch several times doesn't work you may want to unhook the battery for a few minutes and see if that works.
