Looking at buying a Prism GSI

A buddy of mine has a 92 prism GSI that I'm looking at buying. I'm just wondering what goes wrong on these. It's got about 180,000 miles on it, but it's in very good condition. I'm just wondering how it's gonna hold up. I guess it's got the same motor that those toyota MR2's have (it definitly gets up and goes in a hurry). Motor seems really strong. The auto transmission seems to work good. It's got fairly new struts with lowered springs (I thought he said they were H & R springs, but I'm not sure). What goes wrong with these? How much would be a good price to pay?
