89 GT Convertible windshield wipers stop

I have a 1989 mustang gt and my wipers work fine until its starts raining.
They just stop completely. And I can't get them to come back on.
What's the deal?

have you tried to move them manually when the motors are on? try setting it on high and push them around. it could be weak current going to the motor.
