So we finally got the block out of the car and taken apart today. No worries I got plenty of pictures that I will post in the next few days. But for those of you who don't know I just wanted to post up what I am having done to the block.

Getting bored .20 over.
Surface block
BalanceL crank, rods, pistons, dampner, flywheel
Forged JE pistons
Forged eagle rods
Clevite rod and main bearings
new head gasket
new front, main and oil pump sealsarp head studs
new timing belt
new water pump
removing the balance shafts
jet wash parts
arp main studs
line hone

And all this runs a wonderfull $1,735 most of that being the pistons and rods.

And I am re-assembling the motor this is just mostly block work and pretty much blueprinting.

Also does anyone know a good write up on reasembling the block? I know exactly what to do but I want to have something to fall back on.

I also got a completely re-worked and re-surfuced head.

Also I am looking for a few parts.

1 AFtermarket clutch new or slightly used
AFtermarket Cams new or used
drilled and slotted rotors
aftermarket intake for 1g turbo

I think that is pretty much it. If you have any of those things I want em.

That is all.

Don't forget the ARP rod bolts too.

Here's a write-up for the 420a. Should help you out quite a bit, just follow the basics of the build.

I'm not quite sure how it works. I know the pistons are going to line up

so maybe it will be a stroker? Fuck I have no idea.

Defiancy, I think you took scottsee's reply as a question. He was stating that you needed stroker pistons. With that longer stroke, if you used stock pistons they would hit the valves. You NEED stroker pistons. And yes, with a 2.4 crank, you'll turn the 2.0 into a 2.3 stroker. I'm already jealous of you. :p

Yeah the shop is taking care of it. I'm not actually ordering the parts they are. I'm just putting the bitch together.

So then I have a 2.3lt stroker.

That's pretty bad ass.

You know defiancy, you should just give that car to me. Its obvious that its becoming a financial burden and giving it to me will benefit us both ;).

Cant wait for pictures.

I am selling the Cobra for the DSM

And I kid you not.

I'm selling it to divert all my funds to the DSM

yes 4g64 crank+4g63 6 bolt block and stroker pistons and good rods=one hell of a 2.3L 4g63(.5) stroker. I either want to do that or get a 4g64 and do a 4g63 head swap on it
