Lumbar support no longer working

Do any of you guys know what the problem may be and if its a do it yourself project to fix the airbag lumbar support in my 96' Tahoe LT (leather seats, passenger side)?
I can hear the motor working when I press the switch, but it never pumps the seat up, and naturally no air releases when I hit the switch either.
Any ideas?

Sounds like the tubing/hose that runs from the pump to the bag may be bad/disconnected, or the bad itself may have sprung a leak. I'd pull the seat out, so you're not fighting w/ the pillar and such, and take the seat apart to investigate.

Have you ever pulled a seat apart?I cant hear any air moving anywhere (probably just too low of pressure to hear it though).I need to tighten up the rail the seat slides in anyways (seat slightly rocks in the rail).

No, I haven't pulled a seat apart...but I'll try anything once - and some things twice. If you are mechanically inclined enough, or at least have enough confidence in yourself, I'd give it a shot. Since it's the passenger side it won't put the truck out of commision so you can take some time w/ it. And realistically, you may not even have to go that far...as the problem may reveal itself once you have the seat out. I would give you some more help by looking at mine but I just got rid of her. You may be able to grab an exploded view of the seat from your local Chevy dealership parts dept, and they may be able to point you in the right direction. Good Luck...M
