In the last week my security system on my 95 conti is cutting out the starter. The remote opens the doors and trunk, it locks the car but I can not start it all the time ( four times in the last week it cut out on me). When you press the unlock button on remote the door opens but you get no chirp from the alarm. The valet switch says the system is disarmed. I insert the key, turn the ignition on and press the override switch and try to start the car but nothing happens. I eventual get it started by using the overide switch but it takes 20-30 minutes of playing. Any thoughts on why? Can I some how bypass the security system for the starter? Is there some time deley to reset the system? I do not really care if the car is armed. The battery is new. The starter seems to be fine, Starts right up when it gets power. With the starter cut out nothing happens when you turn the ignition switch.
I could really use some insight on this security system if anyone has any info to share on this.
Thanks

Was this a factory install?
I wasn't aware of a remote start option in 1995.
In any case, it sounds like whatever remote start module you have, it's on it's last legs. Could also be the installer didn't secure the connections properly.

There is no remote start on this car. What I meant was I used my keyless remote to open the doors which disables the security system so that the starter is able to come when the key is turned.
What I am trying to find out is if there is someone out there who knows how to disable the security system. I do not care if I have the security alarm or not. I would rather know that when I turn the key my car will start.
Any help???
