I have a 1993 Grand am that shows it is overheating even though it is not is this the Engine Temperature Sensor? I have flushed the radiotor(fine) changed the thermostat and checked the water pump. Can someone please tell me where the Coolant Tempertaure sensor is located and maybe post a diagram on how to get to it because autozones description is not very helpful neither is the haynes book. \

Thanks

What engine do you have in your 93 GA? That will help us to narrow things down.

I found the sensors they are under the alternator but you have to pull the motor mount to have enough room to pull them out. However the tempertature still seems to climb very slowly up until it overheats. any reason that this would be doing this even though the sensors are all new, the radiotor is fine, the water pump is fine and the thermostat has been replaced any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
TK

Is your cooling fan operating properly? and does it happen the same way with the heater on, and off? When you changed the thermostat did you do a flush of the system and fill with new coolant?

Sorry for all the questions but I'm just throwing things out there to see if there is a direction that you should look into next.
