Gas Guage

Does anyone elses gas guage read totally inacurately? if so, has any one had it fixed? if so, how much,how long ect...?

From your screen name there, I'm assuming you have a 1999 3.4L V6 Alero, correct? If so, you probably have a bad fuel level sensor...a common problem on the 99 and 2000's. It may have been a recall...I can't remember. You can call Oldsmobile and see; the number should be in the owners manual. If it's not under warranty, you'll have to fix it (obviously), but I'm not sure how much it is or how much work goes into it.

I've never noticed it, but my wife says my 2000 will stick at full or some other level and than drop to empty all at once.

Ditto for me, My 2000 will stay full for a very long time then all of the sudden its empty. It seems to me any problem with Aleros is everyones problem.
