Rattling??

I need some help fella's. U c when i drive my 2001 ws6 there seems to be a rattling noise commig from the glove compartment between 2-3K RPM. Its there even when i downshift, but stops when im at a red light. I was thinking maybe its due to the loudmouth but i might be wrong. HELP ANY??? thanks

Stupid question...but did you look inside the glove box to see if there is something loose?

Loudmouth shouldn't create any rattles. How loud is the rattle?
Can you maybe get someone to rev it to 2500 with you out of the car so you can see if it is coming from underneath the car? Or under the hood?

this sounds dumb but i had a problem simmiler to that, it was my lock nut rattling on the glove box.,lol.

I have a twang sound @ about 2100 rpm in all gears. There is a major wiring harness going thru the firewall . Maybe a relay inside the control box behind the glove box . I had a rattle coming from the front dash area during cold days until the interior warmed up , then the corner of the dash broke off. No more rattle now . Just some ideas . Rob
