Decided it was time to freshen up my Saturn a little bit :D

Some before pics taken 2 years ago when I got the car, with old dealer tint:

Interior shot (see how faded tint is?)

And after this past Saturday:

No, the windshield is NOT tinted:

Interior shot, also got new ebony floormats

Still deciding if I want to lower it and do wheels. I have to go through some construction on my way in to work (next few years actually - the city is working on our light rail system) so I am not sure yet what I wanna do. I figured this was a good start. Made my car look a few years newer again :)

Did you tint the sunroof also?

No. It's a tempered glass and already has tint "built in" (can't think of a better term). I wasn't planning on tinting it anyway.

Oz, some days I itch for 17s. The Team Dynamics wheels I had on the Neon would have looked great on this car (saw another SL2 on cardomain with the same wheels) but unfortunately the Neon was a 5 lug, the Saturn only has 4. But at least now with 24" wheels being the new hotness, 17s should be real cheap now.

looks good, ild say go mild on the wheels and tires, that way you dont get too pissed if you scuff them, also the larger the wheel the more expensive the tire. ild do some looking and go for something not too aggressive. but thats me, you do whatever you want.... just post it afterwords so we can all stare at it.

Gotta love the laws here in nh about tinting, can't do front windows, can do rear door glass, rear window as long as you have 2 outside mirrors, and the windshield can't be more than 6 inches down from the roofline. Sucks because the tint on my windshield goes 8 inches down, its factory and I get crap for it every year for inspection from the dealer that I bought it from.

The car looks better than before and it seems to me you keep your Saturn clean. :bigthumb:

Thanks :D I am a bit anal when it comes to the cleanliness of my car. I don't like crap piling up in there. My husband's cars look lived in with his backback, jacket, tools, CDs or whatever else he has floating around in them. He gets mad when i try to neaten things up :lol2: I dunno, I'm a clean freak...house and cars must be clean :screwy:

All of your windows are tempered (except the windshield) ;)

I love the look of any car with limo tint and yours looks awsome. I wished i could keep my car that clean.

Down here in ms, we used to be able to have any tint we wanted to as long as we had a tint sticker below the inspection sticker.

Now when you go get your car insected the use a meter to see how much tint you have and if it is below 35% no sticker.

Btw, why can local law enforcement have the limo tint and we can't? Who is gonna give them a ticket!

Thanks :D That's scary that they check your windows at the inspection. I dont think they do that here, Alex's project Roadmaster just went in 2 weeks ago and that car's been limo all around for nearly 4 years. No one said anything. I took my old Neon in once and they just plugged something into my OBDII plug and since nothing showed up on that test they said they were done with me. Didn't check windows or even pop my hood. Now this coming September I believe I will have to take the Saturn in for inspection. Here in AZ if you get a new car you dont have to get it inspected for 5 years. Then after that I think its once every 2 years.

I love not having inspections in MN. I had 4% on my old truck then i was pulled over for speeding and he made me take it off on the spot(front 2 windows only) On my current truck i think im gonna go a bit lighter. I didnt really like struggling to see at night with the tint so dark. It looked really cool but i couldnt see shit.

One of the reasons for that law is because when an officer pulls you over and has to walk up to your car he needs to be able to see into the car. Cause if some gang banger has 5% tint he could easily be holding a gun up to the glass and bust a cap as soon as the cop walks up.
And cop cars don't get pulled over, so that's why they can have dark tint.

ohh they can pull each other over. it is more dependant of if they are on or off duty at the time. my friend is a cop and just got off duty and he got pulled over in his interceptor for speeding. so it happens. but you are right about the tint.
