Ok here I am with my car in the shop with a long list of parts being added including externals. Here they are (some are already in) evo3 16g turbo, 2 1/2in exhaust, weisco pistons, eagle rods, upgraded valve springs, walbro 190, KN air filter, greddy type RS BOV, act 2600 clutch, HP????
Will my car overheat and die?? Will it even run smooth?
What should I do to protect it??
Thanks to all who help me
steve

What are you even asking? Why would your car randomly over heat? and why wouldn't it run smooth? If you want to turn your boost up over ~15psi bigger injectors is a must and with bigger injectors you will need some sort of tuning device (AFC,dsmlink etc) and you will need a front mount intercooler. Do us all a favor and put the year and model of your car in your sig with your mods, it does us no go to know the mods if we don't know what car its going it.

Make sure your maintenance is up to date, and you should be fine.

Your car will blow up and catch fire.

2 1/2in exhaust Trash the 2 1/2, get a 3".

HP???? Your HP depends on how much boost you want to run.

Will my car overheat and die?? No your car will not overheat and die unless you don't put in any antifreeze.

Will it even run smooth? It will run smooth.

What should I do to protect it?? Keep up regular maintainence, and make sure it's ON SCHEDULE.

You'll need some sort of logging device, I suggest DSMlink. (www.dsmlink.com) Yes, we know it's expensive but it's worth it. If you don't want to go that route, I suggest a S-AFCII and Pocketlogger. You'll also need bigger injectors. Go with some 660's.

What is more of a limmiting factor for my boost right now the 21/2 in exhaust or the fact that I have no FMIC. Just wnat to know which order I should be changing them in.
Also how do you control how much boost do you need like a turbo smart boost controller? What will happen if I don't have any boost controller is there an adjustment on the turbo itself?

The exhaust and fmic are both restrictions in the way, the fmic will allow you to boost more with lower intake temps but the 3" exhaust will flow better than the 2 1/2. Get 'em both at once. An ebay intercooler core will serve perfect for your purpose.

You can build a MBC, or you could buy a MBC, either way you need something to be able to regulate the boost.

If you're asking this question, you probably shouldn't be installing these parts on your car yet.

Sorry I don't know everything about cars... I just know I like em.... especially DSM's. I read up on the internet about all this stuff but the reality of it is it is nothing to actually doing it hands on. Its obvious you guys know your stuff so I come to the right place but there's no need to condescend on me cause you know more than I do. We all share a common bond ;)....

I sort-of agree with joematthews, you probably should be doing some more research on this before you start installing these. It was smart of you to come on here and ask questions, but I wouldn't recommend buying these parts unless you know what you're doing. Hands-on work helps yes, but it's the basic understanding of how these parts work and what you'll gain with them that will give you the biggest boost in knowledge. Good luck none-the-less.

I disagree. The 2.5 inch flows plenty for his setup. For a 16g or even a 50 trim, a 2 1/2 exhaust is not really a restriction. As long as it's mandrel bent, 2.5inch is plenty. A friend of mine put 350whp with a 50trim and a 2.5 inch exhaust. You need to get your tuning taken care of, then injectors, then intercooler. An intercooler won't help much if you're running stock boost, and you can't get injectors without a tuning device.

I just wanted to let you guys know its not me doing the work I don't know if you think it's me or not. Thanks for those sittes I've been looking through them. I have driven cars with more horsepower then what these mods should be putting out (2006 vette 500hp) so I'm not too worried about launching myself into a telephone pole. I do understand what the basic pieces do its just I'm just not fully aware of how much each one affects it.
Does anyone have a guess as to how much Hp I might be running at around 16 PSI???/

We cant ever guess hp...we could be off by a lot. So many factors are involved. Im running a ported evo turbo with injectors/safc/rewired255 FP and few other mods you dont have and I dont think I gained more than, lets make a guess of "30 hp"..., I expect to see big changes when I get a fmic, tranny work, 3inch turbo back exhaust and really can turn the boost up where the evo turbo will really kick in. Just keep modding and your best bet would be, take it to the track and than take it again after w/e mod you did and see if it helped.

Oh yea, your best bet probably wouldve been to build up supporting mods a little more before throwing a evo16g to a fairly stock car.(eXcluding your engine.)

You can, I have 18s, but I think the point that was trying to be made is that your wheels are more bling than an eclipse can handle
