I have an 03 Envoy which the exterior temp stops reading @ 50 degrees. Seems to read OK under 50????

Mine also gets "stuck" at 50 though it periodically indicates the correct ext. temp. Why is 50 the "magic" number? Why not something else?

My 02 also was stuck on 50, replaced the sensor, works great

Did you replace it yourself? Where is the sensor? Thanks for your help.

It mounts on the grill, look down and you will see 2 wires leading to it.

Maybe I'm just blind or stupid, but I can't find it. I had my son look and we can't find any wires running to anything mounted on the grill.

My 2002 Envoy outside temp gauge went to 50 aand stuck then the drivers seat quit working and then the passenger seat quit. I deiconnected the battery for a couple minutes and everything started working. The system needed to be reset by battery disconnect.
