Hello,
I have a problem with my 88 Maxima GXE when trying to start it up after sitting overnight. It turns over but takes a couple of tries before the engine starts. After running the car for a few minutes starting her up the rest of the day is no problem. Starts first try all day. It does not seem to be temperature dependent so I am leaning towards a fuel delivery problem. I recently had the suspension upgraded and a new alternator and battery but this problem was started before any of that work was done. Anyone had a similar problem or have any ideas? Thanks.

...start it up after sitting overnight. ...
One such source is cracked cap: Morning rising temp condenses on any engine parts, cap, shorts spark. After warmup, moist evaporates, no problem. Second is any electronics which has earlier in life had its share of coolant splash glycol: clycol chrystals act as a sponges, sucking moist from humid air. Works like mentioned crap cap...
