I wouldn't recommend to mess up the dashboard lights. Some of these are colour-coded to comply with the Transportation Safety Standards. Having said that, anyone try to see what colour the empty gas tank glow? Is it distinquishable?
It seems as though to me that there is a significant shortfall in the aftermarket light bulbs for the G20 or its predecessor, Primera. I myself having difficulty locating dealers that sell car light bulbs. Is there not a store, like in Japan or somewhere, that specialize in this area? This surely is a business opportunity folks :)

u only replace the guage lights, not the warning lights. blinkers and warning light will be the same, just the #s on the guages and needles turn colors as seen on my previous pics. Everything can be seen very well. I used red 194 bulbs which can be found at a pep boys, auto zone, and I think Lappens might have them too.

I just got off the phone w/ my broker and told him to buy BIG in the Pep Boys 194 bulb market suppliers! I was gonna buy some to put in my clearance lights (WHATS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN 194/168??? ARE THE INTERCHANGEABLE???).
Anyway I decided not to, then after reading this thread, I went back to get them. Needless to say the didn't have them in the 3 locations near me! I think everyone went to put 'em in!
Can't wait to F@*k up my dash putting them in!:bloated:

If you have a light color car it can also look good to use them as license plate lights. Mine are bluish green. No legal problem and I have used mine for 2 years. I know that the legal issue will come up. Still very easy to read the plate. if the bulbs look the same and have different numbers they prob are interchangeable. Might have a small wattage difference or be for europeon vs japanese. There are little reasons why the nubers differ. I bought different ones for my parking lights (yellow now, my 3rd color), but they didn't have 194 at the time in stock. They work just as good. Prob had those in for close to a year now.

You have a 2000, which means your instrument panel lights are NOT 194/168 bulbs. A p11 uses smaller bulbs. they are tiny little things the size of a chinese guys dick...
Wait, I'm Chinese!!
if you're doin it for your clearence lights, good luck gettin to em.

You guys did it the hard way. :p
What you want to do is replace the "condoms" on the bulbs (assuming the P11 uses the same sort of bulb with blue "condom" that the P10 does). You can buy different color bulb "condoms" off the web. I cannot remember the name of the place I bought some for my aftermarket gauges to match the factory, but it was a speedometer place. Try a web search for speedometer repair and lighting or something like that.

They are different sizes from the P10 to the P11. My "hard" way cost about $5 total (did shifter light too on auto) and took a grand total of 10 min. Not too bad for the hard way. Really makes no difference.

This is from my memory, so don't yell at me if its wrong, but I think the bulb number is 74 for the instrument cluster lights.

The bulbs are really small and are propriatory design. I took the blue condoms off and diped in translucent red paint from hobby store. They are not as red as I wanted but the pain to get to the HVAC control out of the dash far enough to remove/reinstall bulbs is less than worth doing. If I were to do it I would replace them with LEDs since I think that would work better.

I have an idea that is hard to explain. I would have to look into it and I really don't have time or care right now. If you want help from me than you'll have to wait a year or so becuase I'm doing exterior stuff now and interior next year.
