Is 22psi possible on a GS-T?

this kid that lives in front of me said that his 95 gst mitsu can run 13.9 1/4 mile and all he has is a blow off valve. he also said that hes turbo is pumping 22 psi but that seems pretty high. is he lying?

I have seen eclipses with higher boost than that... dunno if they changed from the stock turbo tho...

*shrugs* I'm sure those motors could take that much boost... He could be telling the truth...

I wouldn't be too impressed with a 13.9 1/4 mile time, those cars can definitely run low 13's with the stock turbo on normal street tires. And that stock turbo is capable of 20-22 psi of boost (though not near redline); it pushes 14.5 psi stock. One question though: if his car has nothing but a BOV, how is he upping boost? He'd need a boost controller to achieve higher than stock pressures.
