1991 wont start

checked spark on plug wire, have blue spark, checked coil wire get blue spark on the end going into the dist. squirted starter fluid in carb, still no hit? car was running good for about 2 miles then quit suddenly not start since, i noticed the roter button is burned, could this cause it to0 stopp, now it wont even hit, turns over good, maybe ignition module??? HELP

Code 12 is a communication verification code- it means you are reading data okay- if there is any- there is no specific code for an ignition module- it isn't that easy- if you have no spark- you can have individual components tested- yes the ignition module is highly suspect- but may not be the entire problem......
