removing the instrument panel 1984 733i

Hi,I am trying to replace my rotary dial for air volume control .It is stuck in zero position and could not be turned.I am having some trouble removing the instrument panel.I could remove most of it except for the lower left corner(towards the side of the steering wheel).It appeared that something was holding on to it .I didn't see any screws holding it back.The right side came out without problem.So what do I need to do to free the entire panel so that I can change the temperature regulator.
Appreciate any advice to help me out.
