Hello everyone. I own what I have heard is a rare version of a 1979 Chevy Malibu. It is all original (belonged to my grandmother) and has a V8 with bucket seats. I am not sure how rare this vehicle may be and was trying to determine a potential resale value. I am not very familiar with the world of classic cars and hoped some folks here may be able to help with research tips or know more about the car. Thanks

Most came with bench seats since the Malibu was an inexpensive family oriented (utilitarian, but in a good way) car.
The Pontiac Grand Am, which shared the same body shell more commonly had front buckets, as did the Monte Carlo/Regal/Custlass/Grand Prix cars, which were mecnaically very similar.
IMO your buckets make your car interesting, but not more valuable than an equivalent bench model.
These cars are not valuable from a collector point of view; their consition and mileage dictates their value. Poor ones are worth next to nothing, a pristine, 2 door, fully optioned low mileage version may be worth about $5000 tops, IMO.
