i have a 1982 z28 camaro that i just dropped a gm performance 350 with about 350 hp and a turbo 350 transwith a 1900 stall converter and a trans go shift kit with racing clutches . i was wondering will my stock rear end hold up to the power or should i change it. if i have to change it i was wondering what i would have to do to swap a rear drum to a rear disc 373 posi in my car. right now i ahve a rear drum and i think i might have 410's in it. can you help me? thank u.

hey. you could probably keep the rear end for a little while, because i think stock they are built to handle about 400 horses. as for the disc brakes, what did they come off of?

you have a 9 bolt? 10 bolt? stock cover? non-welded axle tubes?

Judging by the year of the car, I would probably say he has the 7.5 10 bolt rear end. They can hold their own in some cases. Good luck with the disc brakes and tell me how it went when you get the chance.

If so I would at least get a TA girdle and stud kit to reinforce the housing and support the caps.
