I noticed that my Altima has bad rotten egg smell while running and it occours even after fully up to temp. The car runs fine and it is still getting the same mileage so I don't think it is running overly rich. I was going to try Techron in the gas and see if that will help.In my other cars i have put in Techron about every 5000 or so miles just to keep the injectors clean but the manual on this car says no additives. BS or is that true.
Thanks Brad

Next time you catch Mario Andretti talking about Techron, listen just as carefully to the words that have been so carefully chosen for Mario to speak. Injectors don't get dirty and additives don't repair or maintain injector efficiency! Injectors are in the intake manifold where the air has already been filtered, over 1 1/2 inches from the intake valve and carbon that results from fuel burning beyond the valve inside the combustion chamber. Fuel is clean when you add it to your tank and is constantly circulated through the fuel filter and returned to your tank as a small percentage of very clean fuel feeds through your injectors. No manufacture pays warranty to clean injectors. Injectors are a valve that accurately flow a specific amount of fuel, atomizing fuel in the process and shutting the fuel off. Manufacture engineers know that Techron and any other additive is B.S. The same people telling you that you need to change your motor oil and filter every 3K miles are the same folks saying you need to pay to have your injectors cleaned. Both practices keep them in business by moving more money from your pocket to theirs. Maybe you feel a difference in performance while the additive is in the tank or maybe we only think we feel a difference. Blended fuels already have alcohol in the fuel similar to additives found on a shelf. Follow the owner's manual instruction. Leave the additives on the shelf and a few extra dollars in your pocket. Rotten egg smell from exhaust is caused from running too rich. Would you agree that Mario Andretti's words used in current Techron advertising were possibly cut from and his message modified from earlier advertising that have since been ruled as false and missleading nonsense?
