I finally got hold of the Scale Auto Style resin bodykit for this car, and have started modifying the Tamiya body to attach all of the resin parts. This body kit was well done by SAS, and everything has attached very well so far.
There is a resin hood that goes with this transit, but I can't remove the plastic hood until I glue the nose and side coves in. There would only be the A-pillar and a little piece at the bottom of the cove holding the front fenders on if the hood was removed now. There are also 2 pieces for the front fenders that will need attached. They weren't in the trans-kit when I received it, but they should be on their way to me now.

Having seen this yesterday at a friend's modelpalooza I can say it's a very impressive model. The resin is superb, it's a very aggressive looking car. Can't wait to see this one finished.

Did it involve a pink shirt?
Hahaha, no. But Matt should paint this pink, just like the basecoat of his other GT-R as I suggested last night at the palooza.
I'll just say this, CA doesnt taste good.

Thanks guys.
bkvj - I'm not sure what color I'll paint this one yet.
LA Customs - The kit is the Tamiya R34 VSpec 2 kit. The resin parts are by Scale Auto Style.
Jaymes and D_LaMz - I ordered this off of SAS's site. The page on his site is a bit misleading and lists this kit with a 10% preorder discount. :screwy: Apparently it's been available since November, the site just hasn't been updated.

err...agreed? The fitment of the parts does look rather well. Chris really makes soem good shit. About the coves infront of the doors...Are there templates to cut out the existing plastic on the body? Or is it just easy to tell where to cut? Keep up the awsome work!

Id also like to know how the side vents are cut out of the kit. I'm sold on this kit, gonna have to order one. I think this needs a RB26 added under a working hood.

Ordering this on Thursday, can someone enlighten me on how the wings work.Would i be correct in guessing that the standard wings have to be removed?
