omg...
i go to fill my 1996 mitsu. spyder eclipse i pull the gas release knob and i hear a snap...
there is no resistance on the knob and the gas door wont open...
i pop the trunk find the metal cable that release it and pull it out only to find that the other side of it towards the drivers seat of the car has been rusted out...
this means every time i go to open my gas door i have to fuck with the little lock in the trunk..
anyone have any suggestions?

run a new cable? Or you could make it operated by a wireless remote by installing an actuator lol it could be the new thing for hot rods

Lol, I might as well, I'm already moving a bunch of other stuff around. It would be kind of cool to pull up to the pump get out and hit a button on your remote and you gas door popes open. then you can rig it so it says something every time reminding people to put premium in and to put the gas cap back on lol
