00 jetta gls airbag light

hey guys I'm just new at this forum but bare with me. I have this problem with my 00 jetta gls 2.0 somehow every winter my airbag light comes on and never goes away until I pay VW to clear the codes then they say that the faults are sporatic is there anyone with a jetta that has the same problem as I do? I am getting tired of getting nickel and dimed by VW
