Just a quick question or 2. Is there a simple way to tell if my Z28 came with a keyless entry remote sytstem (other than checking for the computer by removing the right side kick panel). It came with keys, but no remote when I purchased it last year. Second question is, if I do have the system, I can get a remote on Ebay, but where can I find programming instructions? Thanks. To see if your car came with the keyless entry, just look in your glove box for a sticker that has all your RPO codes on it. Look on it to see if you have the 3 digit code "AU0." If it does, then you have the keyless entry, if not, then you don't.
You can look on ebay for a remote, just make sure you get the one that rectangluar an only comes with 3 buttons. Anything made from 96 and up won't work.
And here's how to program the remote:

Nope, that's not it, AU3 is power door locks. You could always try an aftermarket alarm like Viper. Check out eBay, you can always find good deals on alarms there.

Very very not true. The LT1 was first put into service in the Corvette in 92 but was used in the F-body from 93-97. The LT1 was also available in two forms (baby 4.3 LT1 and Iron headed 5.7) in the Roadmaster, Caprice and Impala's from 94 - 96.

Come on Jim, yours is easier to find. Look under the seats for the signs of broken glass, that means it has keyless entry too :D

You better be careful looking under my seats... might come face to face with an Earl fart.... they linger for months.
