Factory Speaker Replacement

Any in sight would be appreciated. Ive been debating what to do on my 2001 Alero GLS.

So it would seem that the factory speakers are replacable with out having to replace the deck and amp on the monsoon system given you use a bi-amped speaker say from SoundStream and their Tarantula series. Has anyone actually done this and experienced the result? Is is a better route then just replacing with new oem's from GM even though they seem rather pricey for what you get?

First off you have to look at the quality of factory speakers...they SUCK! Factory speakers are made out of paper... in turns upgrading to aftermarket speakers is defianitly the way to go if your wanting better sound quality out of your speakers. The crappy speakers the the dealerships are trying to sell you are not worth the price tag they are asking for them. For as much as you would pay for the stock ones you could get a rather good upgraded aftermarket set. And having a monsoon system doent matter cause there is a monsoon plugin you can get for your new speakers that will incorperate with your monsoon system.
