Turn signal issue

Flashers work, turn signals don't 1999 Montana
Started intermittant, then failed.
Replaced the turn signal assembly - same issue.
Door alarm goes off when parking lamp fuse is pulled
Checked connections in rear tail lights - OK
willing to replace parts.. not sure which one to replace next.
Almost got ripped by the dealer, as they suggested $900 to replace the assembly I just did for $65, and it wouldn't have worked anyway.

Did you check ou the tail light assembly ON BOTH sides to make sure there is no burns or melted area?
My 99 had both signal lights on when I tried to turn left or right. A new circuit board(that is what they call them) cured it.

thank you - I am VERY curious where this "circuit board" is in the car. I am hoping it is not in the instrument panel! There is a slight corrosion in one sockets for the connector receiver in the left taillight, but I tried disconnecting all of them. Also, the cases that I have read about this had different symptoms. My lights don't come on anywhere, and the flashers work flawlessly..

I guess the circuit board you speak of is in the taillight -

I don't think it causes both lights to go out.. and the fact that the flashers work..? might be worth a $45 try however.

Take a real good look at it because it may not be easily visible. Like I said mine worked with flasher too!! It just flashed all 4 turn lights no matter which way I signalled.

thanks again - the funny part is that the flashers produce 12 volts on a meter alternating with all of the circuit boards and tail lights disconnected - there is not voltage at all going back there with the signal on.. and of course the turn signals produce no lights anywhere at any time when all connected. seems to point to something inside the car / dash / flasher
