Nice job on converting it so far, I also like the exhaust. Did you scratchbuild it?

I didn't realize that a 2.4l motor pushed that much air through it. Where did you get the rims? They look spot on the new ones. Diecast? The taillights are going to be a challenge. I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with those.

Nope, the S2000 has a 2liter.
But even a 2liter can displace a lot of air when you rev it up to 10.000rpm.
I don't know why Honda put a dual-exhaust on the S2k. It's still a 4cylinder inline engine.
I buddy of mine has his S2000 AP1 modified to have only one exhaust, looks way beter.

Your project also seems to come along nicely. Can't wait to see how you modify the taillights.

first generaton S2000's had a 2.0l engine. the more recent model has a 2.2l engine with more tourqe. this model is replicating the current genreation, which has the 2.2l

I decided to dig this kit out again. I didnt do much but i fiddled with some wheels and i decided that these ones might look the better than the STi wheels i had one before.
Suggestions?

agreed. Liking the conversion. I didnt know the new s2000s had a 2.2, because i thoungt the 2000 was the cc count.

I think I liked better the STi wheels faking it as S2000 wheels best, but the MF10s are perfect, too. Any ideas on treating the tails? Keep up the awesome work!

nice conversion!. the new s2000 have a lower redline as well. its in the 8,000 rather than the original 10,000 but produces more torque

2000 - 2003 S2000s had a F20C engine.... The 20 in that code means it's a 2L. 2004 and up S2000s have a F22C which means a 2.2L engine.

AND, it's easier to rename an engine than it is to rename a car. people know the S2K (and it's got a catchy short version of the name, S2K).

My real AP1 S2000 has Ap2 front and rear bumpers. I wish they made 1:24 scale bumper conversions for this reason. :/
Looking good so far.
