Diet pepsi + mentos

well i've this ideea after watching some clips on google video. all you need is to drop some mentos into a 2 liter bottle of diet pepsi or coke and step aside very fast.

The thing is my hand is a funell made out of a pice of paper which i used to drop the mentos into the bottle.

PS. Please diregard the dumbass look on my face, its just one of those pics.;)
PPS. Use only 2L bottles, the 1L just have too little of an effect.

Worked 12 hours today, I needed something fun :)

Guys make sure you drop the mentos very fast then step aside since the reaction is imediate. You do not have time to put the mentos one at the time, so use something like a funnel to get a bunch in fast then get away.

Cool. I want to try that with the 3LTR bottles from King Soopers. (i think toey still have 'em its been a while since I drank anything but Mtn Dew.

That would increase the surface area of the mentos, thereby enhancing the instantaneous release of energy of the reaction. You probly wouldnt be able to get away fast enough.

Tums have the same effect, plus you can crush 'em up. for some reason i have the best results with 7-up

So you tried this out and it caught your chin? Is that what you said?

yeah pretty much, i did it using an old paint tin though, put some water in a paint tim about 1/2 full then pour the headache pouder in and put the lid on as quick as possible and run !! lol tis very powerful if its done right

This is cool but it's not like this is new stuff. Remember the old rumor about eating pop rocks and drinking coke will blow you up? I've had this happen though, pour an entire bag of skittles into a Dr. Pepper and the thing will spew all over the place.
