Chuggin in 5th...makin me nervous...

Ill be drivin around and itll chug a little bit as i shift into a gears, thats just normal i know, but going down the freeway itll just start chuggin itself to the point i fear being stranded on the interstate. and it does it quite often, enough to where i tend to stay on city streets. I can put it in 4th and gain some speed then shift back into 5th but it still does, usually within the next mile. The carsz a decent driver except for this, any ideas?
