96 blazer engine replacement

Sorry for the dumb question but I'm replacing the engine in my blazer and I am having difficulty reaching the top left bell housing to engine bolt. The trans-tunnel is preventing me from getting in there. Is there an easy way to remove this bolt with out removing the engine and transmission as a whole? Can I just lower the transmission to gain clearance? Any imput would be very helpful as it is the only thing holding this project up.

Long extension, flex socket and lower the trans will help of course.

Usually an 18"-24" extension works on Bell housing bolts.

It can be reached from the top with a box end wrench. If you remove the intake first.
Another way is to drill through the floor board from inside. The bolt is directly behind the gas pedal. Measure 3 times, drill once. If you first drill with a small bit, you can see if you are in right spot before making it bigger.

That one usually is a piece of cake older Blazers and S-10 are the hard ones.
If all else fails you can do it like a ford.
