well....my car WAS under a porta-shelter for the winter...but there was like 50mph winds today. the shelter is destroyed and one of the poles was ground into the side of the car . The mirror is all scratched to hell and theres a huge gouge is my passenger door crossing over into the fender....im so pissed off, but theres no one to be pissed at exept myself...worst feeling in the world

i had planned to get her re-painted NEXT winter...but i cannot stand to look at that huge scratch all summer...so i think im gonna have it done within the next month or 2.

I dont wanna have to do all the jams and under the hood and everything, but i dont wanna go with the stock green, instead i wanna go with a lighter, brighter, metallic green. Any suggestions on color? Im looking for something that will look good with my black 5-spoke wheels and black tint.

to my knowledge, i need a paint code to give the body shop, right? its not like wall paint where i can just bring in something that color and they can match it, right?

that said, im looking for make/model of cars with nice metallic green paint colors...i have a short list forming already

1969 Charger Daytona
1969 Buick GS350
1970 Challenger
2005 Lotus Elise
1967 Pontiac GTO
2004 Saturn Vue

suggestions appreciated

one of my favorite greens on a car was the dark metallic-ish green that the vanquish is shown with alot of the time. thats not exactly a brighter color but i think that would look really nice.

i suggest you go to a autobody supply shop & look through their paint chip book for the color you want. it will list the color code for you to reference. the books are usually organized by year & manufacturer.

For the Elise are you looking at the Krypton Green? If so I know someone who has a 92 RT in that color.
