Hey, im looking at buying a 93 probe, with a V6 and 5 speed standard, form a friend, whos babied it since he got it, and was wondering how much work it would be to swap out the tranny and put in a 6 speed manual or if it would even be worth it. I'd also like to know what kind of tranny would go nice with it and how much it would cost in Canadian dollars.

Thanks alot.

I have heard this question many times before. The answer is simply no it can't be done for 99.9% of Probe owners. On the other hand, if you've got the money you can do it. It's not going to be cheap though. This is your best bet for a 6 speed swap, but it's not exactly bolt-on or very streetable. You will still have to custom fabricate some goodies to mount it up as it's a universal transmission.
