Question on radiators

I have a 1999 6-cyl Jeep Wrangler Sport, and was driving to work one day, when, stopping to get gas, I noticed antifreeze leaking out of the underside. Popped the hood, antifreeze everywhere, and its coming out of the upper-left hand side of the radiator. All the hoses were OK, and I had just started the trip, so I don't think its a thermostat issue, but I want to know if it appears that the radiator cracked, how best to check, and how hard it is to pull the old one and swap it out? Could somebody help me please?

Thanks!

Its probably leaking at the seam around the top of the radiator. The stock radiators are actually three pieces. The top and bottom are plastic and have a pinch seam around them. A quick fix to the leak is to take a pair of adjustable pliers and pinch the metal tabs that hold the seam together tighter. The permanent solution is another radiator. DPG off road carries a decent brand for a decent price (and they are good guys to work with). I think they carry CSF brand. Its all metal, no plastic tanks, and people have had good luck with them. I put one in my wifes 99TJ a couple years ago and it done great. Swapping a TJ radiator is easy and doesnt require any special tools. If youve got an automatic, nows the time to go ahead and install a tranny cooler.
