Acrylic Paint/Thinning question?

I just got a Paasche VL airbrush. It says for tips 2, use certain paints, tips 3, use acrylics, and tips 5 some other paints. My question is that I didn't get the size 3 tips. The package was full, but it is just the 2 and 5 so I guess I need to thin the paint? How do I do this? Thanks, will it ruin the airbrush running strait acrylic paint through it? I am new to the airbrushes so these may be stupid questions...sorry.... and thanks for any responses... :grinno:

Most hobby paint needs to be thinned for airbrush use. I would start with 1 part thinner to 2 parts paint. Use the larger of the 2 tips you have to start out. If it clogs you can clean it with rubbing alcohol or lacquer thinner.
