What do you do with it that it needs more power?
Irregardless, I wouldnt stick a V8 in it. Theres not alot of room under the hood as it is and the 4.0 can be boosted up pretty good. there are quite a few aftermarket parts for it now as well as stroker kits.

It all depends on how much money you're willing to spend on a 13 year old car and how much power you need. A V8 will require a lot of fabrication and changing out a lot of other stuff (suspension, drivetrain, etc.). A rebuild of the existing motor (or a core from another source) using a wide variety of aftermarket parts ( as Ray suggest) should get you where you want to be. There are even supercharger and turbo charger kits available if you want to go wild.

If you crank up a lot of extra ponies regardless of method, you may still need to beef up your drive train and suspension anyway, so don't neglect these items as you plan your build and budget.
