blower resistor and ?

97 astro van no heat and the panel controls are not working. i am getting power to the blower resistor but not to the motor. put juice to the blower and it worked. i guess it is the resistor that is bad? however when the engine warms up the inlet and the outlet hose to the heater core do not get warm. i put the water hose to the heater core and it appears to be allowing water to flow through. i cant figure why i am not getting any heat? any clues...again...thanks...edsel...

I repaired missing wires on resistor block. It seems the sealant used by GM ate the wires, just solder in new ones.
No heat: I suggest an air lock. Others have said to run the engine with the rad cap off, and the water pump will prime the core. Then top up the rad.
