Update: Can't start when cold

Just a little update. (Also to be used for people who use the wonderful SEARCH feature!)
If you remember back I've posted about how my car would not stay running when it got cold. It would turn over, then die. It would take about 8 times before the car would actually hold the idle. Then, the idle would surge, choke the car, and you just had to pray it would run. One night when it was 8 degrees, it took 16 times before the car would hold the idle. Car also sounded like crap then when running before it warmed up.
I replaced the IAC and TPS (thanks Travis) and it hasn't been cold around here at all. The car idles smoother now, but never had the cold test.
Well, I got out of work and the car was in a layer of ice. Temp was about 10 degrees. Once I got the door open (PITA), turned her on, and turned right over. No idle surge, no nothing. Even with the SAFC running, everything was fine. Idle dropped exactly to where I got it set, and ran perfectly.
So the problem was the IAC and/or the TPS. Replace as needed.
TPS = $59.99
IAC = $49.99

Sounds like a pretty cheap fix to a nagging problem. Sweet deal man. :)

And today was the ultimate test. Woke up and went to work, it was -1 degrees F. Car turned over perfectly.
Note: It works to have a battery with good cranking power too.

Wow! This could be what is wrong with my car. My idle stalls everytime the weather is kinda chilly or cold. I have to step on the gas for a while for it to keep running. Where can i get those parts for that price?

I like his sig :evillol:
My money is on the IAC as the problem, since your symptoms changed with the temp.
