okay, im up at school near chicago, and today was pretty cold. i let my buddy drive my car 2 days ago, and i went to start it today and all i heard was click click, repeatedly....no turning over. think this is a battery problem that could be solved just by jumping?? im just wondering and i posted this b/c im waiting for someone that has a car jump mine. hopefully it just needs a jump and needs to be warmed up...lemme know if you think theres poss. something more. thanks guys.

Hard to say for sure w/o more info....but would not surprise me since it is so cold....the cold does batteries in. Take it to a AutoZOne or something like it...and have them test the battery....thats the easiest way to get down to the bottom of it if you have no diagnostic tools

When jump starting your car, have someone near the cables and immediately disconnect them as soon as your car starts. Do as Ern2112 suggested and take your car to Advance or Auto-Zone and have them test it for you. Also, check the battery cables for corrosion, as bad connections can act like a dead battery.

okay, i got my car jumped and it started right up. before that, i took the cables off and cleaned them, they werent too junked up w/ corrosion though. i drove my car around a bit, shut if off, and it started right back up. so its looking like the cold just took the battery in, or that is my assumption so far. however, i did notice that my ABS light stayed on though, does anyone know anything more about why it would stay on??
