6' and only 125lbs?!? geez, that makes me sound really fat. i'm 6'1" 215lbs.
just wait till you get to college...i was 185 when i graduated hs, after two semesters of college i'm 215. of course, that's mostly because i got really really lazy when i went to college (i used to be in good shape, i promise). i still can't believe how horribly i ate during that time (i lived off pizza, ham and cheese sandwiches, rootbeer, and ramen noodles).

How much money you want to spend? You wanna do suplements, or you want simple stuff you have around the house? Do you have a weight set? you obviously have a high metabolism, so you are going to have to up your calories big big. I don't want to get into a debate (everyone here likes to argue :D), so I won't give you my recommendations for a workout plan unless you PM me. I have helped quite a few people just like you in the past, and I have been lifting off and on since 88.

wow, I'm 5'8.5" and 185lbs. anyways, you need too eat alot more than you do but don't eat crap, eat healthy but in higher quantities. if you have a weight set it will be easier to get ig than if you dont.
start working out, don't overtrain, just every second day or so. you can find some workout guides all over the internet, or you can buy workout books. might I suggest Arnold Schwarzenegger's workout bible or encyclopedia or soemthing. it has everything you'll ever need, excercises, plans, nutrition, suppliments, stretches, plus it's only around 30-40$ canadian.
If you do have a weight set, use high weight low reps, this will bulk you up fast, once you get your desired size, then work on tone.
also, you'll need to eat alot of protein and drink alot of water. you should eat around 2 grammes for every pound you weigh.
check out: http://www.bodybuildingforyou.com they have tonnes of info on plans, excercises, supplements, etc.

Just enjoy it while you can man. I'm 5'10 and fluctuate between 133 and 140 soaken wet. And I didnt hit 125 till about 2.5 years ago. I use to worry about it then just said fuck it. At least i have muscle definition and not just skin and bone. Enjoy eating whatever you want while your metabalism is high.

you shouldn't workout the same muscles every day, they get tired and stop building up. your muscles are constantly breaking themselves down and building themselves up. if youworkout every day, it doesn't give them enough time to regenerate so when you tear muscle (which youdo every time you work out) it doesn't come back any bigger before you tear it again. give yourself a day in between workouts, maybe 2 days for big muscles like chest and quads, or work a different muscles and alternate, so legs one day, then chest and arms, then back and abs, then back to legs.

I thought there was a forum for this?
Anyways what you need to do is get fat. You need fats to produce testosterone and you need testosterone to build muscles (increase in protein synthesis). Winter would be IMO the best time to add the fat. Then during the on-season you turn that fat into bulky, arnold type muscles.

dude there is nothing you can do about it, i know im in your situation. Im 6 ft 135lbs on a good day. Most i ever weighted was 140, and that was eating like a pregnant lady and working out like a horse. I couldnt keep the weight unless i kept up the eating, which wasnt cheap. So now i just stay nice and defined, i try to work out 2-3 times a week. I might be skinny but alteast im cut.

That is quite possibly the most disgusting thing I have ever heard in my life.
If you are serious about gaining weight go to GNC (or whatever place like that you have near you) and get some weight gainer, start lifting to gain mass (I will try to post a thread in the right forum sometime soon if I can get some time to get around to it), eat like hell and hope for the best. I had a friend who was about 6' weighed 120lbs he looked sickly, now he is about 170lbs lean and doesnt look like he will blow away in a slight breeze. (and as as side note he wasnt too popular with the ladies but that has changed now) It just takes a lot of work.

Bourito's 100% right. If you work the same muscle group too often it won't grow. Some people need 1 day off between, others need 2 or 3. I'm in the 2 or 3 category; when I used to lift every other day, I didn't get any muscle growth. It wasn't until I figured out that my body type requires about 3 days of rest for body parts between workouts to get results. Do a little research into the 3 body types: mesomorph, endomorph, ectomorph.
For the record, in high school I got up to 6', but weighed only about 145. After college, 6'4" and 200 and am now 255#. You'll fill in eventually, as ANY workout plan, consistently applied, will work.

Try to maybe gain like 10 lbs. My friend once told me to just eat a lot of chili cheeseburgers. It worked for awhile and I got up to 165, drinking a lot too helped in that. But that was when I was younger. I'm only 5'10" in shoes and weigh about 135.

Yeah, this subject has always been on my mind. I'm 19, 6'2" and 155 lbs. I used to only weigh about 140 lbs, and then I bought a weight set and started eating mass quantities of food. So far 155 is the best I've been able to do, but everything I have gained has been muscle. Eat a LOT of calories and protein, and start adding more weight to your work out as you get stronger.

two things
weight gainer gold + weight room 4 days a week.
if you really wanna see gains, get on a program and go HARD. i can only think of two programs off the top of my head, BFS or bigger, faster, stronger. and west coast bar bell has a program.

im 19 6'2" 165 currently (just started working out again a week ago)
ive been 17 6'2" 185 (working out 5-6 days a week 3 on 1 off)
The key ive seen in my personal experience, is consistency, how hard you push yourself in the gym, and diet.
Depending on your recovery rate, is how you should split your workout routine
I do a 3-1 split bc i have a slightly longer recovery rate, which means i split my workout as follows
Day 1 : Chest, Triceps, Abs, shoulders
Day 2 : lower body
Day 3 : Upper back, lower back, biceps, Abs
Day 4: Off or 20-30 minute cardio
*I started seeing a personal trainer and this is the routine he gave me, and you should try to work out the same muscle groups at the same time
Muscle groups
Bench Press: Chest primary, Tricep secondary
upper back exercises: Back primary, bicep secondary
You will see better gains if you work chest/tricep same day versus chest/bicep same day. You can probably work abs everyday if you have the recovery speed.
The thing that sucks about working out is once you gain, you have to keep working out to keep those gains strength/ weight/etc.
Diet-
Protein- one of the most important factors in working out weight gain, trying to build your body without protein is like trying to build a house without wood.
Creatine- It will shorten your recovery time, and makes your muscles grow back stronger than without it, the thing that sucks is when/if you stop taking it and stop working out you lose those gains alot more quickly ie. me-20lbs
And just eat as much food as you can as long as your working out hard you wont get fat

That depends completely on the persons body type, metabolism, etc. I stopped working out for about a year, and was at around the same, if not higher, level as when i stoped. of course, i did have a summer job and stuff like that but my body is pretty stable, i can get some gains, then keep them for a long time, i don't put on or lose weight (by weight i mean fat) quickly, and i gain muscle at a good speed and don't lose it very fast at all.
for this guy i'd say he would have to keep working out, because he seems to have a very fast metabolism and a body type that doesn't gain muscle fast but loses it fairly quickly.

I enjoy being skinny. At 5'7 and 108, I'm like a stick with a head. I'm gonna start woriing out just to gain some definition, but being this way suits me, I think. I say screw it and laugh at fat people, while you eat your fries with a mcflurry, and they choke down their slim fast.

but seriousley i've had this problem all my life too. i'm 6'5 now and weigh 167, which is healthy. but for someone who's 6'5 i should probably weigh alot more than that. and despite what i eat, i don't seem to gain a pound. my metabolism is insane.
i'm pretty lazy though, i'll admit. but it's mostly because i don't have time lately to go to the gym.

but seriousley i've had this problem all my life too. i'm 6'5 now and weigh 167, which is healthy. but for someone who's 6'5 i should probably weigh alot more than that. and despite what i eat, i don't seem to gain a pound. my metabolism is insane.
i'm pretty lazy though, i'll admit. but it's mostly because i don't have time lately to go to the gym.

It is expensive to gain weight. Im 5'9 145lbs. What you got to do is eat around 4-6 meals aday. Make sure they are high in carbs, protein, and soso in fat. I started eating around 5 meals aday but i also drink 4 bottles of ensure plus in between meals. In 2 weeks i gained 7 pounds. but if you want to gain weight you got to work out alittle atleast.

im tellin you... if you want to see large gains, you need to bust your ass. thats all there is to it. lift weights on monday, tuesday, thursday, and friday. upper body on monday and thursday, lower body on tuesday and friday. i never took any supplements myself, but weight gainer gold works quite well. i had a friend that used it and he got huge.
but the whole key to it is going hard when you do go, you should come outa there with no strength left every day you go. and not from doin too many reps or too many workouts, but from pushing yourself on the weight that you do. back when i was a junior in high school, my best towel bench was about 250lbs. i got so pumped up and had people yelling at me, i did 265 3 times. a lil help on the third. by the end of that winter i was normal benching 240... almost what my old towel bench max was. if you cant get to the gym, just do a bunch of decline pushups before you go to bed.

Wow, that helps me out too. I'm 6'2 150, and I cant seem to keep any weight I do gain. I want to get into a program, but, I ain't got no money. I might try that out though.
