Ford Focus Pos

I have a 2000 ford focus, have had it in the shop about 30 times. (ignition tumbler etc...) Now the evaporator supposedly has a leak. I wanted to charge it and use that seal stuff to see if it could hold a charge.
1. Where do I charge the AC
2. Has anyone else had this problem? - I live in florida, the car has almost 100,000 miles on it and I need AC
3. Has anyone reported to ford about a possible RECALL on that ignition tumbler. I am on my 3rd one already!
4. Mechanic says bolts in transmission are making noise and believes that I will need to rebuild my tranny eventually (my car is a 5speed manual)
Any help on these issues is much appreciated.
Thank you so much

The only thing I can suggest is get a newer Focus because when the first 2 years they were out all they had was problems with the car. I suggest 02 and newer!

ya ravage the first 2 years were a complete mess, I'm suprised your vacume hoses havent caused you problems yet, but the 02 on cars are quite solid

How many keys do you have on your car's key ring? Excessive weight can cause problems with the ignition lock.
