96 Skylark 3.1 V6 code PO341

Got a 96 Skylark with the 3.1L V6 and it has code PO341: crankshaft position sensor circuit range/performance. My question is should I test the sensor in some way first? Is this a common problem? Just replace the sensor? It is difficult to replace? I cleared the code once before and it comes back after two drive cycles. Thanks for all your help!

Cam sensor signal circuit, not crank sensor, look at the connector and see if you see a problem, loose, corroded?
