Hi My radio lights for the time/display is gone. i was told here it was the instrument panel cluster? Does anyone have a step by step for replacing it? 98 GP GT

Shine a flashlight toward the display, if you can read it with the flashlight, it's the backlight bulb burnt out (relatively simple fix). There are several threads on here regarding this issue, just use the search function. If you still can't see the display with the flashlight, then the LCD itself or the circuit board controlling it are bad, and radio replacement is the best solution, as the repair isn't a DIY job and the repair is pretty costly.

There is a lamp for the radio time display which burns out. The dash panel and radio have to be removed to replace it. The part # is 16208443 available at the dealer. Cost approximately $8.00. Substitute bulbs are available at Radio Shack and mentioned in the R&R procedure below.
